CREATIVE WRITING COURSES ON PAXOS
NICK OLDHAM
"A rising star in
British crime fiction, deserves recognition for his
skilled plotting and unusual characters and ... his
ability to meld procedural detail with taut suspense and
the mood of an adventure thriller." - Booklist
"Oldham carves out a new niche: the noir procedural with
cosy trimmings. Bolt the door, warm up the teapot and
settle in for a unique read."
- Kirkus Reviews
Nick Oldham is a
retired police officer and crime writer
who started writing while he was still in the Lancashire
police force and had his first novel published in 1996.
Since then, he has had a total of
17
crime novels
published.
|
All Nick's novels feature
the
maverick detective
Henry Christie
and
titles to date include Hidden Witness', 'Seizure', 'Critical Threat',
'The Nothing Job', 'Screen of Deceit', 'Crunch Time'
and 'Big City Jacks' - all published by Severn
House.
In
2011 Nick had two more novels in the Henry Christie
series published - 'Facing Justice' and
'Instinct'. He
is currently working on his 18th Henry Christie novel -
'Fighting for the Dead' and will shortly begin
the 19th. 'Facing Justice' was particularly well
reviewed in America where it was described by
Publisher's Weekly as "a taut page-turner that
doesn't stint on bloodshed".

Before becoming a full-time writer in 2005, Nick was a
police officer with Lancashire Constabulary for 30
years, 18 of which were spent at the very sharp end of
policing. He spent the last 12 years of his police career as
a trainer and, as an experienced trainer and
facilitator, now runs writing courses for a variety of
organisations, including Lancashire County Council.
Nick lives in Lancashire with his partner and, when he is
not writing, he enjoys travelling and playing the guitar
badly.
Nick's
own website is at
http://nickoldham.net and he is also on Facebook

His novels can be bought
from Amazon Books at
